The Swiss-Chinese Law Association (SCLA), is organising a Global Online Forum in English on Friday 26 March on the impact of the new EU-China Investment Agreement (CAI) on the exchange of goods and services. KUNZ partner Dr. Hermann Knott is active in the SCLA. SCLA promotes the understanding and resolution of legal issues in the relationship between Europe and China. Dr. Hermann Knott organized the event together with his Chinese colleague Tianze Zhang from Shenzhen ( and is the rapporteur on the results.
On Saturday, 27 March, the SCLA will hold a mock mediation, also in English, on a dispute between a Chinese investor and the African recipient state of the investment, a so-called investor-state dispute. KUNZ partner Dr. Hermann Knott leads the preparation of and managing the event. In addition to the importance of mediation as a means of conflict resolution, the essential impact of cultural differences between the parties to an international dispute will also play an important role in this event.
