Hanna Deutgen is active in our areas of expertise “Real Estate & Construction” and “Business & Economy”, among others.
For many years, she has been assisting commercial clients, among others, in the establishment and support of property companies, in the negotiation of property purchase and leasehold contracts, real estate development and the drafting of commercial lease agreements. Together with Michael Frohn, Hanna Deutgen has a special industry focus advising numerous private breweries and beverage wholesalers, for whom she works on issues of rental and lease law in addition to beverage supply contracts in all their forms.
Dr. Deutgen supports medium-sized companies and shareholders in all business activities ranging from establishing companies to acquisitions, inheritance law and succession or transition arrangements, restructuring or reorientation.
Due to her various stays abroad (South Africa, the Netherlands, USA), Dr. Deutgen is particularly active for our English-speaking clients, especially in contract law issues and drafting of contracts.
Dr. Deutgen is also a member of the “Railway Infrastructure and Transport” competence team. The firm has represented both railroad infrastructure and railroad transport companies for many years.
She received her doctorate degree in the field of public and European law on the topic: “Europol’s Development Tendencies in the European Integration Process” (dissertation available at kups.ub.uni-koeln.de). In addition, she has published in the context of her accompanying academic work on European insolvency law, WTO law and together with Michael Frohn in the competence team Railway Infrastructure and Railway Transport Companies on the topic: “Bestandsschutz oder zivilrechtlicher Anspruch auf Lärmsanierung an bestehenden Schienenwegen der Eisenbahn” (Juris, Deutscher Anwaltsverein, May 1, 2017).
Since 2018, Dr. Deutgen has also been appointed as a judge at the Lawyers’ Court.
