Marc Werdein is a partner in our firm and advises companies on all issues of transport, forwarding and logistics law as well as insurance law.
Especially insurers, forwarders, carriers, logistic and shipping companies benefit from his high specialization and experience in this field. The main focus of his activities is both the legal representation, advice and support of clients in the event of a claim or other dispute, as well as preventive measures to avoid risks that could result in a dispute.
The possible preventive measures are manifold and range from the drafting of comprehensive project-related contracts, general contracts or general terms and conditions of business as well as the representation and support of clients in any contract negotiations to assistance in obtaining any insurance cover required, including negotiations with the insurer and review of insurance contracts.
If a claim and/or dispute arises, Mr. Werdein represents and accompanies our clients both in out-of-court negotiations and in ordinary court or arbitration proceedings and asserts their interests.
In the Rail Infrastructure and Transportation Competence Team, Mr. Werdein is responsible for representing clients in the event of damages to goods during rail transportation and also advises railroad companies on all issues relating to transportation and logistics, including multimodal transportation.
In addition, Mr. Werdein advises companies in matters of road haulage law.
